Badge workshops: Due to COVID all workshop will be held virtually through zoom at this time. They will be 45 minutes to an hour long depending how many girls we have in class. All workshops will require 3 classes in one week to go through all requirements for the badge. There is a requirement of a minimum of 10 girls to participate in the Junior workshop and 5 girls to participate in the Ambassador workshop. Additional girls can be added up to two weeks prior to workshop.
Workshops fees: $10 a participant (troop provides badges)
$30 deposit required to book the workshop date. This deposit is non-refundable.

Junior Digital Photographer badge
Find out how to capture a winning photo with your digital device, whether you're using a phone, tablet, laptop, or digital camera.
1. Learn about digital cameras from an expert: Juniors will get a chance to get to ask me questions about being a photographer. I will teach them basic lessons on learning to take better photos using their devices. 2. Take tons of photographs!: For their first assignment I will have them take specific photos with their new knowledge of taking photos and upload them to our group page. 3. Edit three photos: I will show them using a free app on their devices to edit their photos they have upload to the group page. 4. Make a digital photo project: After their photos have been edited to their liking we will go over on putting a slideshow of their photos together. 5. Share your photos: Our last day together we will spend showcasing everyone's slideshow they have put together.

Focus on composition--shoot five landscapes: I show you the importance of composition and how to look for it when photographing your landscaping photos. 3. Focus on light--shoot five portraits or still lifes: Let's discuss how light can effect your photos and when is the best and worst time to take photos outdoors. 4. Focus on motion--shoot five action shots: I'll show you how to freeze motion to shoot your 5 action shots. 5. Tell a story with photography: Tell us your story by creating a digital slideshow and sharing it with the class.
